Your information, your choices

Privacy Policy

What information Zozland handles, why we use it, who can see it, and how you can make privacy requests.

Last updated September 21, 2026

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to zozland.com, the Zozland apps for iOS and Android, and Zozland Radio (together, the “Service”). Zozland operates the Service. For privacy questions or requests, email support@zozland.com.

Services that open from Zozland, such as Apple Maps or Google Maps, handle information under their own privacy policies. This policy does not cover their independent practices.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

Information generated by your use

Location and permissions

The current mobile app does not request your precise location for Nearby. Selecting a nearby search opens an external maps app with search terms; that provider may request or use your location under its own policy. The website may use a location you enter or a browser location permission you grant for a web feature. We may infer a general region from an IP address for security and service operations.

Camera and photo-library access are requested only when you choose to capture or upload media. Push notifications require device permission. You can change these permissions in your device settings.

3. How we use information

4. What other people can see

Your username, profile details, public posts, stories, comments, and social activity may be visible to members or visitors, depending on the feature and your privacy settings. Others may save or share content visible to them, so deleting it from Zozland may not remove copies held elsewhere. Please avoid posting sensitive information you do not want others to see.

Private messages are delivered to conversation participants and stored as needed to provide messaging. Authorized personnel may access information when reasonably needed for support, safety, legal compliance, or abuse investigations. Reports are not displayed to the person or content you report.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Providers help us host and secure the website, database, media, and radio stream; deliver email and notifications; and support operations. They may process information needed for those tasks.

Push notifications: we use OneSignal to manage mobile notifications. OneSignal may receive a Zozland user ID, push subscription identifier, device information, session activity, and notification interactions. Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging deliver notifications to iOS and Android devices. The mobile app does not send your email address or phone number to OneSignal through its current integration.

External maps: Nearby searches open Apple Maps or another maps app on your device. That provider handles the search and any location it receives under its own terms.

Website transactions: if you use a transaction feature on the website, the payment service shown at checkout may process payment information under its own policy. We may receive transaction status and records needed for service, support, or legal obligations.

We may disclose information where required by law, in response to lawful requests, or to protect users, the public, and the Service. Information may transfer as part of a business reorganization, subject to applicable law. We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

The website uses cookies or local storage to keep you signed in and support security, preferences, and site features. The mobile app uses local storage and the OneSignal SDK as described above. OneSignal processes usage information such as app sessions and notification interactions. The current mobile app does not include an advertising SDK for tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites.

You can control website cookies in your browser and mobile notifications in device settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent website sign-in or other features from working.

7. Retention and deletion

We generally retain account information and content while your account is active and as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service. When an account is deleted, associated profile information and user content are removed from active systems or de-identified where supported. Limited information may be retained where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or enforcement. Residual copies may remain in backups until replaced under normal backup cycles.

Deletion cannot remove public content others saved outside Zozland. Service providers may retain records under their own legal obligations and retention practices.

8. Your controls and rights

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Zozland and its providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. We handle international transfers as required by applicable law.

10. Children

Zozland is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, email support@zozland.com so we can review the account and take appropriate action.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when the Service or our practices change. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.

12. Contact

For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, and concerns about this policy, email support@zozland.com or use our contact page.
